We were a very last minute booking and we were very pleased withe our cottage. We arrived late at night and the cottage was all lit up with a roaring fire burning and a welcome pack to enable us to have a cuppa and biscuits that night. Our hosts, Anne and Patrick, were extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was very well appointed with stylish decor and was spotlessly clean. I loved the fact that it was part of a working farm, the cat and hens were very sociable, and we even had fresh eggs for breakfast! I would highly recommend a stay at Doire Farm […]

Most importantly, Anne and Patrick are wonderful hosts and lovely people. During our week long stay, our family greatly enjoyed getting to know their family including all four children, Sox the Cat and Scruffy the dog (plus the cows and the chickens). The cottage is darling and impeccably clean: 3 large bedrooms with 3 modern bathrooms (the best showers in Ireland!), a beautiful kitchen with everything you need, lovely family room and patio, plus a washing machine and dryer. Anne may even surprise you with apple tarts with fresh cream! Great location to explore both Kerry and Cork (you are right off the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of […]

We loved our stay at Doire cottages. Anne & Patrick are terrific people. Our granddaughter loved collecting eggs, playing basketball & bonding with sox the cat. Anne was very helpful with anything we wanted or needed. I highly recommend this place. You definitely need a car here. The area is beautiful. I highly recommend.

Highlights of our week at the Doire Farm Cottages were enhanced by magnificent weather, a rare occurrence in Ireland, I understand. The cottage was very comfortable, with everything we could have needed. Anne and family are marvelous hosts, providing assistance, advice, conversation, and laughter whenever we needed it. From here we explored the Beara Peninsula, the Ring of Kerry, and Killarney. However, a special trip was simply down the road to the ruins of the Ardtully Castle and a swim in the river there. A simply wonderful week!

My husband, my 8-month old son and I just spent a wonderful week at the Doire cottage. The cottage was beautiful, so clean and well maintained. The location was just perfect to explore Kenmare, Killarney and the Ring of Kerry. What made our stay even more enjoyable was the owner, Anne !! She brought us fresh milk, eggs and scones. She even brought toys for our baby boy. She really made us feel at home and even shared a few cooking tips !! I highly recommend this cottage. Our experience was just perfect. Thank you anne !

We spent 5 days at Doire Farm and wish we could have stayed longer. It really made our holiday in Kenmare . Anne made fairy cakes with apple and cream for our arrival they were delicious. She brought around milk from her cows the next day. The cottages are a very high standard in every way ,very warm with everything you could look for, there was even timber in for the fire. On leaving Anne made some current buns for our journey home she is such a kind person . We are already planning our next visit .
